Bonjourn GIF Library

The GIF Library is a searchable collection of animated media that Bonjourn creators have chosen to submit and that has been approved for public display. It holds GIFs, animated WebP files, and short MP4 and WebM clips. The interactive library loads the latest approved items with JavaScript.

Without a search, the library lists approved items from newest to oldest, a page at a time, with a Load More button for the next page.

Search by caption or tag

Type at least two characters to find matches in the public captions and tags that submitters added. Generation prompts are never searched or shown.

Open or download

Select an item to view it larger, or use its download button to save the file. Browsing the library does not require an account.

How a GIF gets into the library

  1. 1. Start from your Gallery. Only the owner can submit an animation or video that is already saved to their own Bonjourn Gallery. The video converter can also submit a result for you, but only if you turn that option on.
  2. 2. Add a caption or tag. A submission needs a public caption or at least one tag, because that is what people search.
  3. 3. Wait for review. A submitted item stays pending and is not public until a Bonjourn administrator approves it.

Owners can cancel a pending submission or remove an approved item at any time. Removing it from the library keeps the copy in the owner's Gallery.

Use the library from your own app

Developers can browse and search the same approved collection through Bonjourn's public GIF API. It returns JSON, needs no API key or account, and includes "Powered by Bonjourn" attribution in every response. Read the GIF API documentation for the endpoints, paging, rate limits, and privacy details.
